Hydraulic systems generate immense pressure within the hoses and fittings, propelling hydraulic fluid through the system. The most vulnerable point lies in improper fitting installations. Crimped fittings withstand the hydraulic fluid pressure but are not reusable once installed. In contrast, our reusable hydraulic fittings firmly fasten to the end of a hydraulic line, maintaining integrity under pressure when installed correctly.

How to install the reusable hose end

Secure a reusable hose end socket in the jaws of a bench vice for a stable installation.

Insert one end of a hydraulic hose into the fitting held by the vice. Rotate the hose counterclockwise, threading it into the socket. Continue turning until the hose reaches the fitting's base.

Apply clean hydraulic fluid to lubricate the mandrel assembly of the reusable hydraulic fitting. Slide the mandrel in and out of the socket and into the hose end to ensure a smooth, lubricated connection.

Push the mandrel into the socket until the threads meet the front socket edge. Use an adjustable wrench to turn the nipple nut clockwise, threading the mandrel into place. Stop once there's a 1/32 to 1/16 inch gap between the mandrel assembly's front edge and the socket's face.

Steady the front nipple nut with an adjustable wrench. Use a second wrench to turn the rear mandrel nut counterclockwise, finalizing the assembly.
