How to install the reusable hose end

Secure a reusable hose end socket firmly in the jaws of a bench vice for stability and ease of installation.

Gently insert one end of a hydraulic hose into the fitting held by the vice. Twist the hose counterclockwise to thread it snugly into the socket, continuing until the hose reaches the fitting's bottom.

Generously lubricate the mandrel assembly of the reusable hydraulic fitting using clean hydraulic fluid. Slide the mandrel back and forth within the socket and into the hose's end to ensure thorough lubrication of the connection's interior.

Firmly push the mandrel into the socket until the assembly's threads align with the socket's front edge. Use an adjustable wrench to turn the nipple nut clockwise, threading the mandrel securely into the socket. Cease tightening when a precise 1/32 to 1/16 inch gap remains between the mandrel's front edge and the socket's face.

Maintain a steady grip on the front nipple nut with an adjustable wrench. Use a second adjustable wrench to turn the rear mandrel nut counterclockwise, completing the assembly with precision.
